PROJECTS 4 CLIMATE
Environmental Think Tank and Advocacy
Projects 4 climate is an independent think tank exploring practical climate solutions in developing countries. Our main areas of research are renewable energy projects, sustainable travel and tourism operations and the effects of biodiversity loss on ecosystem function. Projects and research interlink with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's), The International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and ICUN reports. We engage on projects at at all levels, from individual local projects and community initiatives to large scale Private Public Partnership projects.

The transition away from hydro-carbons to the renewable energy sources of solar, wind and hydro is a vital step to reduce GHG emissions and move towards low carbon solutions. We consult and actively engage on many aspects of emissions reduction, including climate finance options and the benefits of The Green Business Model.

We have specialists in environmental management with research interests in ecosystem-based mitigation and adaption. Ecosystem function and biodiversity automatically mitigating climate change through sequestration of GHG's and their carbon storage function. Adaption strategy emphasizes the use of ecosystem services and biodiversity to help people adapt to climate change, through conservation, restoration of ecosystems and sustainable management.

PROJECTS
Below are a few examples of current projects which are in development with P4C. Solar-electric transportation conversions and new builds and solar microgrids are common mitigation projects and have multiple finance options. Climate adaptation projects like mangrove and sea grass rehabilitation also have access to finance at different levels and often for fill the criteria to apply for assistance through the UN Green Climate fund.
In addition to our own projects we also consult to individuals, local governments, businesses and local initiatives on all climate and ecological based projects and solutions.

SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAICÂ
MICROGRIDS
Microgrids powered by renewable sources have proven to be a reliable and resilient energy provider for all sectors; with photovoltaic microgrids providing some the most climate friendly and lowest cost energy services to rural and isolated communities. The benefits of access to clean affordable energy cannot be over stated. At the national level it helps countries reach their goals in reducing emissions relative to their NDC and at a local level it empowers communities to break the cycle of poverty, ending their dependence on expensive dirty fuels like kerosene and diesel.

ECO-TOURISM & SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL
Ecotourism is a move towards sustainable tourist practices. Ideally it should support conservation efforts and cater for tourists wishing to experience the natural environment without damaging it or disturbing its habitats. There should be a positive interaction with local communities, encouraging sustainable development and guardianship of the natural environment.

SOLAR-ELECTRIC TRANSPORT.
Projects4climate project includes the solar -electric conversion of the historic schooner Seraph. The project is in progress using recycled parts with only the LiFePO4 battery bank being a new part addition. Seraph currently operates an ecological cruise on the Andaman in partnership with ANANA Ecological Resort, a Green Globe certified resort in Ao Nang. The resort also operates the popular Eco River Cruises in the Thalane area with Lady Ana the first electric solar River Longtail Boat in the region.

REHABILITATION AND PROTECTION OF MANGROVEÂ AREAS.
The Community-based Ecological Mangrove Restoration (CBEMR) Method supports a holistic, science-based approach that encourages practitioners to mitigate mangrove stressors and facilitate natural mangrove regeneration.
